Born and raised in Dover, AR, I always enjoyed expressing myself artistically. In my younger years I was a capable artist for my age, never fully appreciating what I was creating. Through my teenage years though, I neglected that talent. While I remained creative, I supplanted that artistic outlet with a love of computers, just as the graphic design & print industry began making a digital shift.
It wasn’t until after a year of college that I discovered Graphic Design…the perfect medium for me combining both art and computers. I promptly enrolled at UACCM in Morrilton, AR, and became one of the first graduates to complete their newly-developed Graphic Design course in 1995.
For the next 12 years I practiced and honed my trade as a graphic designer, first with our area newspaper, and then a local marketing agency. During this time I was able to learn a great deal more about my craft, as well as how to work alongside associates and clients alike.
In August of 2007, I reached the conclusion that it was time to step out on my own. It was then that I formed ZimCreative, first working out of a home-office, and later moving to an office in Russellville, AR.
ZimCreative consists of myself and a stable of professional partners for photography, writing and print services.  Since the beginning, we’ve offered services including logo design, media advertising and website management.  We also had the pleasure of managing and producing ABOUT the River Valley, a locally owned, community-oriented magazine which culminated in more than 16-years of service to the readers and business community of the River Valley.
In 2023, I transitioned back to a home office as the nest began to empty.  I’ve been blessed with a loving wife (Lydia), three children (Grace, Claire & Lucas,) and a wonderful family.  With their support, I’ve been able to do what I love, and I love what I do.  It’s always been my joy to serve the River Valley as well as clients across the state and country. Now, I look forward to the opportunity of working with you as well.
